This is my second video from my session with Ronny Wiesauer, the first being my Prelude BWV 998 that you will find in my previous post.
Tiento – Maurice Ohana (1913-1992)
I decided to dedicate the recording to the victims of the ongoing conflict in Syria mostly because I saw a direct parallel between that and the Spanish Civil War. That war was a major influence on the works of Ohana and you hear his response to the violence and atrocities committed.
Here you will be able find any information regarding my work and study as a classical guitarist, as well as any musings, thoughts, commentary or inappropriate side-remarks I may have about the world of good music that I am aware of. I will be making this up as I go along, so things are bound to change as well.
So let’s get started.
A few weeks ago I recorded some pieces with Ronny Wiesauer at Schloss Frohnburg in Salzburg, where I currently live and study.
We recorded the performances in both audio and video, and having listened to some of the final products I can say that I am very impressed with the recordings. Ronny and I are working very closely to reach the highest and most professional level of quality possible. The first recording was posted today on my Youtube channel, here is a link to the video:
