Hello everyone,

This is my second video from my session with Ronny Wiesauer, the first being my Prelude BWV 998 that you will find in my previous post.

Tiento – Maurice Ohana (1913-1992)

I decided to dedicate the recording to the victims of the ongoing conflict in Syria mostly because I saw a direct parallel between that and the Spanish Civil War. That war was a major influence on the works of Ohana and you hear his response to the violence and atrocities committed.

I can’t help but think of this:

and compare it to this:

Just something to think about.

Thanks to Ronny again, check out his work here:

I will be in Europe for the summer, no Canada for a little while, at least.

All the best,

First post and Bach prelude

Hello, interwebz!

Here you will be able find any information regarding my work and study as a classical guitarist, as well as any musings, thoughts, commentary or inappropriate side-remarks I may have about the world of good music that I am aware of. I will be making this up as I go along, so things are bound to change as well.

So let’s get started.

A few weeks ago I recorded some pieces with Ronny Wiesauer at Schloss Frohnburg in Salzburg, where I currently live and study.

We recorded the performances in both audio and video, and having listened to some of the final products I can say that I am very impressed with the recordings. Ronny and I are working very closely to reach the highest and most professional level of quality possible. The first recording was posted today on my Youtube channel, here is a link to the video:

More is to come, stay updated through my website or my Youtube channel.

You can find more work by Ronny at his website:

For all interested, the transcription is my own and based on the manuscript and Bach-Ausgabe versions of Prelude Fugue and Allegro in Eb major, BWV 998.
